I saw [livejournal.com profile] jimhines posting about his book GOBLIN WAR being in the Bookspotcentral March Madness Book Tournament (and whupping ass and taking numbers, it seems). Melinda Snodgrass in her blog also mentioned that her book THE EDGE OF REASON was also in this tournament and into the third round, and I followed their links over to check this out.

To my surprise, I found that A MAGIC OF TWILIGHT is in the March Madness Tournament as well, and has so far defeated LAST DRAGON by JM McDermott and TENDER MORSELS by Margo Lanagan to make it into the third round. Why, I didn't even know the book was playing! Go, little book, go!

Now, in this round, it is facing the dangerous THE DRAGONS OF BABEL by Michael Swanwick, and is leading by a bare single vote... So if you'd like to help cheer TWILIGHT along, check out the Dragon/Twilight Death Match. May it be the Twilight of the Dragon!

Had an excellent time at Millennicon this weekend, for which the con committee and volunteers all need to take the bow, and now I'm very much looking forward to my stint next year as GoH! So look -- you're getting plenty of warning, so mark off March 19 - 21, 2010 on your calendars and BE THERE!

John Scalzi insists that I must do karaoke next year, since he did it this year and that makes it an Official Tradition. He also had a "who has the more attractive foot" contest. I suppose I'll have to do that as well...

Whatever happens, I promise you'll have a fun weekend!
