Update

Grades have been given out -- so far no one's e-mailed or called to complain, which slightly surprises me, actually...

The current draft of A MAGIC OF NIGHTFALL is now over 30,000 words. I gave Denise the first several sections (about 22,000 words) for her input, which was mostly favorable. Things are moving nicely.

I've also started on the WILD CARDS story I have due for BUSTED FLUSH, the second of the new series of WILD CARDS anthologies. That's due in July, and will be between 10,000 and 15,000 words, in all likelihood. That's what will be getting the most attention in the next few months.

I may or may not have a summer class to teach -- it depends on enrollment. Right now it looks 'iffy.' If not, then, well, I'll go to option two.

For Mother's Day, I did my usual task of planting flowers in the several pots on the front porch, and in the railing boxes of the back deck -- I did it on Friday, so as to 'surprise' Denise when she came home from work with bursts of bright color around the house. Happy Mother's Day, Denise!

And later today, we'll go to my parents' house to have dinner with them....
