George pointed me toward a WILD CARDS discussion board that evidently been in existence for a few years. John Jos. Miller (another of the Wild Cards writers) has been active on the board for the last year or so, and the discussion's pretty lively and interesting if you're a fan of the series. I especially found interesting learning what characters were liked and which weren't. I've begun commenting a bit myself.

Bush's "State of the Union" address was about as bland a speech as I've ever heard, full of generalized platitudes that only disturbed individuals could fail to agree with, and short of many actual details of how such things might be accomplished. When he did offer actual strategies, it was obvious that only Republicans had any interest in following them, and even their agreement was tepid.

I suspect that not much is going to happen on his legislative agenda in the next year and a half...
