This is what usually happens, so I shouldn't be surprised. In the last post, I crowed about having finished a story so I could get back to the novel-in-progress, but late that afternoon, a big, fat, and heavy package landed on our doorstep: the galleys for A MAGIC OF TWILIGHT. So A MAGIC OF NIGHTFALL will have to wait a bit longer while I go over the manuscript so I can get it back to DAW.

At least DAW doesn't do the awful thing (that other publishers have done to me in the past) of needing to have the corrected galleys back to them in a few days -- the deadline for corrections is Oct. 5, which is more than reasonable.

And I'll be able to take the big Pile 'o Paper to my Novel Writing class on Monday night and show them what galleys are... :-)
