Enough people have blogged about this that all I have nothing new to add, except to shake my head at the incredible arrogance being displayed -- so Dick Cheney isn't part of the executive branch? Gosh, an impeachment would make that a true statement...
So the VIce President's office "doesn't meet the definition of an executive branch agency" and therefore doesn't have to submit its classified documents to the National Archives' Information Security Oversight Office as required by law. Not only that, but if they're going to insist they get the documents, he's going to do what he can to abolish the agency.
What supreme arrogance and hubris.
What idiots we are for allowing it.

Bush would like to see Tony Blair as Special Mideast Envoy after his steps down... Yeah. That's makes sense. The Palestinians and Islamic communities over there just loved Tony Blair for his role as George Bush's lap dog; I'm sure he'll be incredibly effective. Why, even better would be to have George himself as Special Mideast Envoy after he's gone from the White House.
Sarcasm aside, Blair is at least an effective speaker and negotiator. However, I still don't believe his appointment would be a good choice -- not in the Middle East, where Britain's support of America in our War on Tairer (and their recent knighting of Salman Rushdie) has made them almost as beloved as the U.S.A.

Us Idiots....
I feel like there is no active resistence in America to those who have despoiled our government. Most discontents are content to wait for the next election. I wanted an impeachment. When the Democrats took control of Congress and announced "no impeachment" I was livid. If this government is not worthy of an impeachment....? (How did we get to the point that a president who lies about a sexual act can be impeached or censured but an executive branch that lays to waste constitutional rights and protections is allowed to continue?)
All those candidates and not one will say that George W. is deserving of impeachment. How can I vote for any of them?
Pissed. Fed up. Giving up....
